Winter is holding on here in middle Tennessee. The snow is falling and my hopes of Spring are waning. I found a little hope hidden in these Pear tree branches. The blooms are slowly appearing as too my hope for Spring.
"Wide flush the fields; the softening air is balm;
Echo the mountians round; the forest smiles;
And every sense and every heart is joy."
Thomson
Other branches good for forcing are Star magnolia , Saucer magnolia, Flowering quince, Forsythia and Eastern redbud.
Singing a new song, Diane
